dirty planet
These are all drawings and sketches that began 5 years ago. At that time they were done with Sharpie markers on colored Post-it notes, done very quickly, and in series. When one flow faded another was started.
These collections were saved and stuck on a wall in series to identify possible narratives. I consider any linear thread to be connected to my personal and collective subconscious touched on by the work of Swiss psychiatrist/psychotherapist/psychologist Carl Gustav Jung.
I considered these images and narratives to be not unlike the drawings and paintings left by early humans in caves and on rock faces from 35,000-15,000 years ago, 10,000 years before the advent of written language. The record of these images shows that strikingly similar characters, techniques, and depictions were executed by individuals and groups occurring on separate continents and over tens of thousands of years.
I feel we all have inner narratives that inexplicably link us all together.
